Hands-On Work Experience & Skills Development
The Ralph Levy Greenhouse
The Ralph Levy Greenhouse grows both flowers and independence in our workers with disabilities. The greenhouse is the fulfillment of a 10-year vision to provide expanded prevocational and work training opportunities for individuals at Lynndale. The greenhouse is named after Mr. Levy, who happily participated in programs at Lynndale for more than 30 years. The ribbon cutting was held on October 21, 2004.
Lynndale, Inc. provides people with disabilities and their families with valuable support through person-centered training and community resources, enabling them to determine their future.
Work Training for People with Disabilities
The greenhouse provides valuable hands-on experience to people with disabilities. Participants learn work skills as they grow and sell flowers and plants to the community and some have gone on to obtain jobs in the community.
Plants for Sale
A variety of beautiful indoor and outdoor flowering plants is available for purchase at the greenhouse. The greenhouse is open to the public Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
